    Built from experience

Built from experience across technology, delivery and growth.

Novidian was founded by Tim Ng after more than two decades working as a CTO, COO, founder and advisor. Across those roles, he kept seeing the same issue: important technology decisions were often being made before a business had senior technical leadership in place.

That can mean deciding what to build, how to scale, whether to hire, how to recover delivery, or how to prepare for scrutiny from an investor, customer or board.

Novidian exists to make experienced CTO judgement available at those moments, in a way that fits the stage and the decision rather than forcing every business into the same model.

    Why Novidian exists

Good businesses can still make expensive technology decisions.

Most growing businesses do not need a full-time CTO from day one. They do reach moments where experience matters, and where getting the decision wrong can create months of avoidable cost, delay or risk.

Our role is to give the people making those decisions a clearer technical view. Sometimes that is one conversation. Sometimes it becomes ongoing support alongside a team or board. The level of support follows the problem, not the other way around.

You should be able to access experienced CTO judgement before you can justify a full-time CTO.

    How we think

The technology matters. The business decision matters more.

    Independent advice

We do not build, host or recruit, so the recommendation does not need to lead to another service. It can stay focused on what the business actually needs.

    Plain English

Leaders should understand the options, the trade-offs and why a recommendation is being made, whether or not they are technical.

    Business first

Architecture, delivery and technical choices are judged by what they mean for growth, cost, confidence and risk.

    Who we support

Different roles. The same need for a clearer technical view.

    Founders

When you are making product, hiring or architecture decisions without a senior technical person beside you, or need an independent view before committing more time or money.

    Leadership teams

When delivery, costs or technical priorities are becoming difficult to see clearly and the business needs technology brought back into line with commercial goals.

    Boards & investors

When you need an experienced technical voice to challenge assumptions, understand risk and make sure important technology questions are being asked before they become constraints.
